The long term goal for most investors is to build a smooth sailing investment real estate portfolio and minimize management by consolidating smaller buildings into larger projects in desirable neighborhoods. I’ve worked my whole career to become the expert in property investment in the Twin Cities and Western Wisconsin areas. Because I'm so focused on the apartment niche I am able to discern the awesome deals from the just okay deals.
I got involved in Real Estate in 1997, at the early age of 19. My very first rental property was a HUD owned tri-plex on Jenks Avenue in Saint Paul, MN. This first year was spent rehabbing the property and after nine months of hard work my first tenants moved in. Within the next year, two more investment properties presented themselves – another duplex right across the street and a small single family home, and I jumped on those opportunities.
I soon realized how solid Real Estate was as an investment. My passion became teaching others how to search for and acquire rental properties in the Minneapolis and St. Paul markets to experience similar results. In August 1999 I passed the Real Estate exam and joined the Roseville Coldwell Banker Burnet office as a sales associate.
Over the next 4-5 years, my connections multiplied through a unique marketing approach that included specific neighborhood focus searches for buyers, warm-calling new leads, and researching past solds to learn who the serious buyers were. On August 10, 2005, Apartment Realty & Financial Group was formed to help first-time and seasoned investors. In the summer of 2012 the Company name was changed to Apartment Cash Flow, Inc.
